Anyone who was watching the latest chapter event for Fortnite may have noticed that Geralt of Rivia was floating along in space with Roach by his side. Every new season in the Battle Royale comes with the promise of some fresh skins and Fortnite Chapter 4 brings the iconic Witcher into the game.
Along with the Doom Slayer, Chapter 4 Season 1 is looking like it could be a fantastic opener for the Gaming Legends Series and anime favorites. While the Doom Slayer is already easy enough to earn once some time passes in the season, Geralt is more elusive. In this guide, we’ll go over how you can unlock the famed Witcher for your own locker in Chapter 4.
Fortnite Chapter 4 – How to Unlock Geralt of Rivia
Before you can even think of going after the Witcher skin, you’ll need to purchase the latest Battle Pass. By default, the pass costs 950 V-Bucks and can be purchased in numerous ways, such as prior pass V-Bucks or the membership. Regardless of the method you choose, you’ll need this pass to access the famed monster slayer.
When you have the pass, earning Geralt of Rivia won’t be as simple as leveling up the Battle Pass and unlocking stars. Geralt acts as the “secret skin” for Chapter 4 Season 1 which has been a running trend for numerous seasons now. In the past two seasons, Indiana Jones and The Herald were the two secret skins that players could unlock along with the rest of the pass.

Another important aspect of the secret skins is their timing. These skins always unlock later in the season and the same goes for Geralt of Rivia. Players won’t be able to unlock the Witcher for another 64 days, or until February 7, 2023. You can already view the entire rewards page for the Witcher, but they are locked for the next two months.
Once we reach February 7, there will be a final set of challenges to pass before the skin is unlockable. Each individual aspect of the Witcher set will likely have a unique challenge tied to it. That means you could unlock Geralt and his sword back bling, but miss out on the rest. Be sure to check back for the challenges once Geralt of Rivia officially unlocks in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1.
