When Does Fortnite Chapter 4 Start?

Fortnite fractures into the next Chapter.

Chapter 3 Season 4 of Fortnite is fizzling out, and we’re about to leave one of the shortest Chapters yet in terms of overall seasons. Though the original rumors pushed the idea of a fifth season, Chapter 4 has essentially been confirmed now, meaning there are far more changes on the way.

While we don’t know exactly what the next chapter of Fortnite brings to the battle royale, players can at least prepare for the release itself. Whether you need to get a few more levels in Chapter 3 Season 4, or you’re just excited, we’ll give you the start and end dates on the way to Fortnite.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Start Date

There are two important dates for players to keep an eye on as Fortnite approaches some major shifts. The most important is when Chapter 4 itself officially arrives in the battle royale game. We know for sure that players can begin playing on December 4, 2022. Just like the previous season, that will take place on a Sunday, giving everyone time to play before the week restarts.

Of course, everyone will wonder exactly when Fortnite Chapter 4 will go live. However, that will depend on how long the update takes and when servers go back online. There are plenty of obstacles that Epic Games could encounter as the servers go down, but these updates usually go live around noon eastern time. But that’s not an official time, and it could be any time around then on December 4.

Chapter 3 Season 4 itself will end on December 3 at 4 pm ET / 1 pm PT. After the season ends, there will be about an hour where players can view the Fracture event live. Once the end ends around 5 pm ET, the servers will go offline until Chapter 4 officially begins the next day.
