How to Respec Stats in Elden Ring

You need to meet two conditions to respec your character stats in Elden Ring. These are:

  • Defeat Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, at the Raya Lucaria Academy Legacy Dungeon.
  • Have a Larval Tear in your inventory, which you will find all across The Lands Between.

Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, is a major boss you will face during your walkthrough. After you defeat her, you will receive the Great Rune of the Unborn, an item that will make her passive and allow you to talk to her. Talking to her will give you the option of “Rebirth”, which allows you to respec your character stats.

However, every time you choose the option to respec your stats, you will need to exchange one Larval Tear with her. You can find a limited number of Larval Tears in the Lands Between, which respawn on every new playthrough of the game.

Once you speak to Rennala at the Raya Lucaria Grand Library, you will be able to change your character’s stats and compare them to the previous one. You can mess around with the stats as much as possible without cost. You will only use your Larval Tear when you confirm the changes that you have made to the stats.

Furthermore, you can go above or below your previous character stats but not below the base stats of your Starting Class.

If you ever wanted to make changes to your character’s stats because of the difficulty of facing new types of enemies or not being able to wield your favorite weapon in the game, then this is the right way to do so. On the topic of weapons, here is a list of the best weapons in Elden Ring.
