Forza Horizon 5 | Where To Find The La Gran Caldera Volcano

To help make things easier, we’ve got a fresh guide for you on where to find the La Gran Caldera volcano in Forza Horizon 5, and how to complete #SLEEPINGGIANT!

Forza Horizon 5 | Where To Find The Volcano

The quick answer to the question of where to find the La Gran Caldera volcano in Forza Horizon 5 is in the upper northwest corner of the map. In the image above, we’ve circled what the La Gran Caldera volcano looks like on your map (to the right of the Horizon Baja Outpost).

If you’re nowhere near this location, there’s a Horizon Baja Outpost nearby that you can Fast Travel to (even if you haven’t bought the Buenas Vistas home) in exchange for some of your credits. The more Fast Travel Boards you have smashed, the cheaper Fast Travel to this Outpost will be.

Once you’re at the Horizon Baja Outpost after Fast Traveling there, you can actually see the La Gran Caldera volcano directly in front of you. For added help to ensure you’re heading in the right direction, we recommend pinning a location near the watery area at the top of the volcano on your map.

We also recommend using a car that can handle dirt and gravel – and sharp turns, there’s a nice Drift Zone up here as well – otherwise you may have to deal with a lot of slipping and sliding as you work your way up to the top.

Switching to a Modern Rally Car before heading up can be helpful, but you don’t have to until you’re at the top. Once you reach the top, you’ll then need to switch over to a Modern Rally Car in order to complete #SLEEPINGGIANT.

We’re a little biased as this is one of our favorite cars, but we personally recommend the Mitsubishi EVO X GSR. Of course, you can also use other Modern Rally Cars like the Subaru Impreza WRX STI.

To make it easier to find these specific cars in your inventory, you can press Y and filter your cars to just display Modern Rally Cars, then select whichever one you’d personally like to photograph.

To photograph everything correctly, we recommend pulling up beside the watery area at the top of the La Caldera Volcano. From there, open your menu and tab over to Creative Hub. On the right hand side, select the Photo Mode option.

Position your photo however you desire, then snap the photo. When done correctly, you’ll see a checklist pop up with the criteria for #SLEEPINGGIANT including being at the La Caldera Volcano and photographing a Modern Rally Car.

When done correctly, you’ll be able to complete #SLEEPINGGIANT and will earn an easy two points for your efforts.

We hope this guide has helped!
