Earlier this year Blizzard released the “Blizzard Arcade Collections” which included some of its classic games. Included in the original package were Lost Vikings, Rock N Roll Racing, and Blackthorne.
Blizzard Arcade Collection Gets Two New Games & Quality of Life Updates For Free
Today Blizzard has announced that the collection will be getting some new additions to the catalog. Included in this free update is Lost Vikings 2 and RPM Racing, which is the prequel oddly enough to Rock N roll Racing.
Most interesting in this announcement is the addition of a streamer mode and local 4 player multiplayer for Rock N Roll Racing.
“We’ve also added a new Streamer Mode for Rock N Roll Racing in the Definitive Edition and 4-player local multiplayer that lets you stream your gameplay with MIDI versions of the songs while still preserving the game’s rocking sound.”
The soundtrack is a huge part of what makes that game iconic, and because of DMCA rules on Twitch streaming, it was a big no-no. It’s nice to see Blizzard working to make sure that it can be played in some form while maintaining the soundtrack that makes the game a classic.
The update is out now! So go enjoy these new features and games if you own the collection!
