Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Cover Art Revealed

It sure is colorful!

Fans recently engaged in a days-long ARG that resulted in the reveal and confirmation of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, this year’s entry in the long running franchise and totally, completely secret project that nobody had prior knownledge to. That said, the developers have no revealed the rather colorful cover art for the game.

The developers at Treyarch Studios recently took to Twitter to reveal the cover art for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which features two characters, one from the US and the other from Russia. We can see a bit of propganda that would have been commonplace during the Cold War featured around the edges of the image as well as the clothing of the two characters. There isn’t a ton to go off of, but the art itself is certainly interesting.

In case you missed it, the teaser trailer was recently revealed for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and while it did not reveal any gameplay, it gave fans a ton of context about the upcoming title. The video itself features an interview with notable KGB defector Yuri Bezmenov as well as other footage from that period in time, including civil rights protests, Ronald Reagan speeches, and more. Needless to say, it is going to be interesting to see what this year’s Call of Duty has to offer.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is currently in development by Treyarch and Raven Software, but no release date or platforms are known at this time. A full reveal is scheduled for August 26th, so we will likely be learning a lot more then, including when to expect it and what to expect to play it on.
