Kill Animals, Get Drugged In New Red Dead Online Update

Don't kill animals unless you want to get drugged thanks to a new Red Dead Online update.

Hunting is a part of life when it comes to Red Dead Redemption 2 but now it will have an unforeseen consequence in Red Dead Online thanks to the new Naturalists update that went live earlier this week. Meet Harriet Davenport, your worst nightmare and drugger of hunters.

With the new update, players can side with Davenport in an effort to be more environmentally conscious and an advocate for animal lives. On the flipside of that coin, we have Gus Macmillan, who is a big time hunter that only cares about the kill. Players can choose which camp they want to side with.

If you killed an animal and carried the hide to Harriet. She will get mad at you and this will happen. from r/RedDeadOnline

You could try to appease both but honestly? It’s pretty impossible. If you are appealing to both parties, the contradiction is simple: Gus wants you to kill, Harriet wants you to save. If you try to appeal to both, Davenport will eventually catch on to the fact that you’re killing and will ream you a new one alongside drugging you with a tranquilizer. Fun times, right?

Given that looking cool is a major incentive in Red Dead Online, it’s no wonder that most players are siding with Gus. Kill and he rewards you with swanky new outfits. He’s a very stylish man and he can make other players look stylist too, which, unfortunately for Miss Davenport, is incentive enough to go pro-game.
