Death Stranding PC Issues – How to Fix Stuttering

Perhaps the biggest Death Stranding issue is the stuttering bug, which is causing the game to glitch a bit during gameplay and cutscenes. Unfortunately, the Death Stranding stuttering error is a bit of an odd one and doesn’t seem to be consistent for players. For example, some might experience stuttering during cutscenes while others might experience it during gameplay. Further, for some it may be constant and for others it may only last for a little bit and will then go away on its own.

However, if you’re experiencing a lot of stuttering in the game, there are a couple of different ways to go about trying to fix the Death Stranding stuttering bug. For starters, if you’re playing on a PC with a controller, the vibration settings could be causing the stuttering. So to start, you can disable vibration in the settings or try playing on keyboard and mouse. If that doesn’t fix your problem, try turning the shadows to medium, pause/unpause the game, turn off DLSS, or turn down the graphical settings.

Unfortunately, there is no clear fix for the Death Stranding stuttering issue, but hopefully some of the suggestions above will solve your problem. If not, you’ll likely have to wait for a patch to be released by developers. Additionally, if you’re getting the 51003 error code, you’re not alone. The issue seems to revolve around players’ internet connection, but can also be due to an overload of players. If you need more help, be sure to check our guide on how to fix the 51003 error code.

In all likelihood, there will be more bugs that will pop up during your playthrough, as that’s just the nature of games. However, hopefully over time and through some patches developers will be able to stabilize the game and reduce some of the Death Stranding PC issues. Further, sometimes it can take developers a little while to track down these bugs, so try to be patient.
