Pretending I’m a Superman – The Tony Hawk Video Game Story, which draws inspiration for its name from the Goldfinger track that was featured in the first game, initially premiered during the Mammoth Film Festival this past February. The documentary provides fans with a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and the resulting success. Not only did the game series provide fans with an amazing experience filled with skating and great music, but it also helped revive skating culture as a whole. You can check out a teaser for the film below:

The documentary will arrive at the perfect time as it is set to be released on August 18th, which is only four days after the Warehouse demo for the upcoming remastered bundle launches. It will include interviews from the skating legend himself, Tony Hawk, as well as fellow legendary skaters Rodney Mullen, Chad Muska, Steve Caballero, and Jamie Thomas, all of whom appear in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2

Speaking of the game, it is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One with an expected release date set for September 4th. Not only will the pair of games have remastered graphics, but they will also provide players with new challenges and have new social features that people will be able to use to share their own parks with each other. The Create-a-Park feature has even been overhauled and will include new multiplayer modes to be played both locally and online. Needless to say, good times are ahead for skating fans.
