A Demon’s Souls Remake has officially been announced for PS5, so we can all die happy now. Our first look at the resurrection that gamers have been asking for for years now and it’s finally a thing. It’s finally, finally a thing.
The remake is coming to next-gen from FromSoftware and Bluepoint Games and it looks glorious. This is a game that players have been begging for, especially as their other series, Dark Souls, rose in popularity. Bluepoint is taking point on this remake while FromSoftware continues to focus on Elden Ring, but it looks like it’s in great hands, especially when looking at the previous remake work from this particular studio.
Though the official video description doesn’t tell us much, it does tease the addition of a new ‘fractured mode,’ though what that is we don’t know fully yet. Enhanced graphics, auditory revisions, beautiful new ray tracing and shadow effects – this remake is one for the ages and one we know many Demon’s Souls fans are going to be incredibly excited to see!
