Centiskorch Weakness in Pokemon Sword and Shield

So, you need to take down a Centiskorch? You’re not the only one. Plenty of Trainers in Galar are going to have to run their way through one at some point, not only because the Fire Type gym leader, Kabu, has one that he Gigantamaxes to be extra annoying. For those who aren’t in the know, Centiskorch is a Fire and Bug Type Pokemon, and one of its entries in the Pokedex reads as follows: “While its burning body is already dangerous on its own, this excessively hostile Pokemon also has large and very sharp fangs.” This isn’t one pseudo-bug that we want to cross at any point without the right protective gear and the Type advantage. Centiskorch is described as the radiator Pokemon, and you can encounter it in Max Raids in the following Wild Area sections:

• Dusty Bowl
• Giant’s Cap
• Hammerlocke Hills
• Stony Wilderness
• Lake of Outrage

If you’re not familiar with the form before the Centiskorch, we’re talking about Sizzlipede. That one is definitely more worm than anything, so we can see how Centiskorch might be a bit of a daunting step up. However, if you want to know what it’s weak to, the answer is simple. Because it’s a dual Fire and Bug Type, we can say with certainty that any Pokemon which you take into this possessing Ground, Rock, and Fire Type moves will do well. Whether or not you’re in Kabu’s gym, that typing advantage is going to serve you well, and even more so when you have to go up against a Gigantamaxed bug.
