Heard about some new items making their way into Pokemon GO? Well, you’re definitely not alone. There’s something called an Elite TM kicking around in terms of item type, and we reckon that these are going to come in handy for those Trainers who are gunning for something to power up their existing top teams, especially when it comes to Battle League. Here’s our official Elite TM Pokemon GO guide that covers how to get these items and what they’re for.
Elite TM Pokemon GO Guide – What Are These For?
So, you’re wanting to figure out how to get Elite TMs in Pokemon GO? Easy enough, mate. These are definitely a new addition, though, so we totally get it if people aren’t quite up to speed on them yet. Elite TMs are great because what they can do is they can choose what moves you teach your Pokemon when it comes to replacing their existing Charged and Fast moves. In the past, it would randomly pick a new one up of either category, but now with these Elite TMs you’ll be able to pick what they learn which will help you build your team exactly the way that you want.
To get your hands on Elite TMs, you’re going to have to push through the Battle League. If you reach rank 7 or higher, you’ll then be able to get both the Elite Charged TM and the Elite Fast TM so that you can train up your Pokemon with moves that you reckon are going to come in hand against specific upcoming teams. Of course, we’d definitely recommend souping up your best Pokemon with this, so only those with near-perfect IVs need apply! Need more of a primer on the different ranks that are part of competitive PvP in Pokemon GO as well as their respective rewards? We’ve got you covered with this guide that we’ve relinked here.
Now that you’ve got our Elite TM Pokemon GO Guide to refer to, it should be a little bit easier for you to know what to do with them when you eventually earn them from Battle League. We’re pretty stoked to see what Trainers end up doing with them, and to also see how this could potentially affect participation rates when it comes to future events where Pokemon with special moves were the draw.
