It’s been a hot minute since we’ve had Fire Emblem: Three Houses DLC show its face but if you’re an avid fan like us and you’ve been keeping your eye on the content roadmap, then you’ll have known that it was coming. After today’s Super Smash Bros Ultimate announcement of Byleth being the latest roster inclusion, there was a bit of an uproar when Nintendo took the chance to tack on just a little bit. We’ve now got a Wave 4 content trailer of the Fire Emblem Three Houses expansion pass DLC which shows a fourth house! Talk about confusing.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses Expansion Pass DLC Shows Fourth House

Judging from the trailer above, the secret fourth house is actually comprised of students descended from people who have been living… under Garreg Mach? There’s also four of them, so if you’re drawing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comparisons then you’re likely not alone either. The DLC’s side story content is called “Cindered Shadows” and will send Byleth and your team down to a place called the Abyss, where you’ll help out Yuri, Hapi, Constance and Balthus to conquer whatever is ailing their people. We rated Fire Emblem Three Houses pretty highly in our GOTY picks last year, so consider us extremely excited for what comes next.

We’re absolutely digging how these new characters look, and we’re pretty stoked that completing the Ashen Wolves’ content will allow you to recruit them in the main Fire Emblem Three Houses game so that they can aid you in your adventures too. Cindered Shadows has a release date of February 12 2020, which is earlier than the original projected date of Wave 4 DLC being put out. If you haven’t yet picked up the Expansion Pass, you can do so for $24.99 according to this morning’s trailer.

Now that you’ve learned a little bit more about the Fire Emblem Three Houses expansion pass DLC which shows a fourth house, why not check out other tidbits about the game that we’ve prepped so far?
