A new BioShock game could be coming soon thanks to a trademark revealed that looks very much like BioShock 3. For those that don’t know, Take-Two Interactive is the publisher behind the BioShock franchise and a recent trademark for the “31st Union” has fans purring. That, and CEO Strauss Zelnick recently hitting that players can expect “sequels from our biggest franchises as well as exciting new IP.”
Take-Two has plenty of series under its umbrella and when the trademark was revealed, the community immediately dove right into all of the stories that fell under the publisher’s scope. Since nothing came up, it looks like 31st Union could be the new IP that Zelnick teased in a recent investor’s call.
It’s important to note that in the call, Zelnick never named BioShock explicitly, but rumors of a new game have been piling up for awhile now. Between that and the next Grand Theft Auto, the rumor mill has been incredibly active regarding what Take-Two and their studios could possibly be working on.
Given that Take-Two is one of the biggest publishers on the market currently, it could really be anything, but we’ve heard BioShock rumbles the most outside of Grand Theft Auto 6. “Take-Two has the strongest development pipeline in its history, including sequels from our biggest franchises as well as exciting new IP,” being the full quote from the call, was enough to spark those BioShock rumors once more.
Though this is all just speculation at this point, it is exciting to think that a new BioShock experience could be so close! For those that can’t wait, you can check out Bioshock: The Collection now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
