How to Get Rid of the Sofa in Low-Budget Repairs
That was part of the job description.
After getting your first-ever job in Low-Budget Repairs, you’ll be tasked with repairing the walls using plaster and paint, but before that even happens, you’ll need to get rid of the sofa first.
Moving things around is extremely clunky, even after the tutorial, so moving this size of furniture is kind of hard the first time around. Here’s a short guide showing you how to get rid of the sofa and finish your first job in Low-Budget Repairs.
How to Complete the First Job in Low-Budget Repairs
The first job starts by going to your first client’s apartment. After going in, you immediately see the wall that needs some repainting and work. However, Zbyszek asks you to move the sofa first. You can grab the sofa normally by pressing “E” to interact and grab it. Moving objects this big is kinda slow, but you can still move your mouse to lift the sofa bit by bit.
After struggling for a bit, Zbyszek teases you and just tells you to throw the sofa out the window. Open both sides of the window to create space for the sofa, then start dragging it closer to the window. Lift one side of the sofa by clicking on one of the ends and lift it until the other side rests on the window panel.
Once the other side of the sofa rests on the window panel, pick up the other end of the sofa on the floor, drag and slide your mouse up and into the window, as if the sofa is floating parallel to the floor. Push it a little and press “G” to throw until the sofa is completely out of the window. You just need to slide it out anyway.
Once the sofa is gone, the job starts. Zybszek will teach you a new tool where you need to plaster the wall first before painting. Grab the new tool on the desk (marked by the objective) and start dipping it in the bucket of plaster (next to the green paint bucket).
Keep plastering until every part is covered, even if Zybszek moves on to the next objective. This will make it easier to progress next. Next, you’ll have to use the brush you got before and paint the wall. Now, if you didn’t fully plaster all the parts, there’s a chance the painting objective won’t finish at all (since it happened to me). It seems like you need to paint at least 90%-95% of the wall before it finishes.
The next objective is just completing the job and exiting, and you’ll progress with more contracts, unlocking new things while earning more money as well.
