Final Fantasy XIV‘s latest seasonal event kicks off tomorrow — it’s time for the Moonfire Faire! This popular event comes around once a year in August, running from the 7th to the 26th of the month, and it signals the start of summertime festivities in Eorzea and a jumping puzzle to conquer for those who fancy themselves brave enough. Check out our FFXIV Moonfire Faire guide for how to unlock the seasonal quests, plus a list of rewards that you can get for finishing the obstacle course and more.
FFXIV Moonfire Faire Guide — Quest Location
If you’re wanting to get a headstart on the Moonfire festivities, then you’ll be able to do so from 1:00 am on 7 August (PDT). Get your butt into gear and make your way over to Limsa Lominsa’s Upper Decks, which is just a short aetheryte trip for most — summer swimwear is optional, but recommended. One important thing to note is that you to be at least Level 30 if you want to participate in the Moonfire Faire, so if there’s some last-minute grinding that has to be done then now is the best time to do it.
If you’re at least Level 30 and you’ve managed to make your way to the Limsa Lominsa, then you’ll want to take the Aftcastle aetheryte to get as close as you can to the quest-giver of the event — Mayaru Moyaru. Mayaru is a stalwart fan of the Moonfire Faire, so he’ll tell you everything you need to know about how to make the most of this year’s celebration. We know that there’s going to be another jumping puzzle to conquer and that it’s possibly had a bit of a re-design; previous champions should definitely bring their A-game.
FFXIV Moonfire Faire Guide — Moonfire Faire Rewards
This year’s Moonfire Faire is going to have a bunch of cosmetic rewards as per usual, and as with all other season events in FFXIV you’ll have the ability to get rewards from past years if you bring the right currency to Moonfire Faire vendors.
