How to Unlock Spells in Moonlight Peaks
Time for this vampire to learn magic.
In Moonlight Peaks, you start with a broken wand, but you vaguely have the idea that you can cast spells to help you in your day-to-day activities. You play for hours, but you can’t find where to unlock spellcasting or how to cast spells.
Here’s a short guide showing you when and how to unlock spellcasting in Moonlight Peaks.
How to Cast Spells in Moonlight Peaks
If you explored around Moonlight Peaks early in your playthrough, you’ll come across Sabrina’s store, the Webb of Wonders, which sells spells you can learn for some coins. However, you can’t really cast spells, and you don’t even have mana yet. There are some requirements before you can cast spells, and the way to unlock it is by progressing through the story.
Eventually, as you progress, you’ll get a mail from Luna titled “Come Visit!” that says to stop by Luna’s farm when you have a chance, and she has something exciting to share with you.
This mail shows up around the story progress of “The Dinner Party,” where you gather for dinner at the Ambrosia Mansion and unlock the Hellkitten form. It’s hard to tell what triggered the mail, but that’s how I got the mail from Luna for Come Visit.
Once you go to Luna’s farm, you’ll automatically enter a cutscene where Luna shows you magical crops. However, your wand is broken, and this will trigger The Magic of Crops quest. After getting the quest, go to the Webb of Wonders to have Sabrina fix your wand. If the Webb of Wonders is closed, you’ll have to wait until it is open to progress.
After Sabrina fixes your wand, show it to Luna, and she’ll start teaching you a spell, Aquaflux I, to water the magical crops.
At this point, you’ll have to wait to progress since you’ll have to water the magical crops again (Moonfruit). After casting the Aquaflux (watering spell) for the second time, it’ll grow and finish the quest. You’ll enter a cutscene with Luna, and this unlocks the casting of spells throughout the playthrough.
You’ll start to see your mana shown as blue star icons in the upper-left corner below your energy bar. To unlock more spells, you’ll have to visit Sabrina in the Webb of Wonders and purchase the spells you want to learn.
