How to Play Gears of War E-Day

If you pre-order the Premium Edition of Gears of War E-Day, you’ll also receive five days of early access, allowing you to start playing on October 1, 2026.

This does mean you’ll have to pay an additional $30, bringing the price to $100. Frankly, the main appeal of the Premium Edition is the early access; everything else isn’t exactly that appealing, as it’s a mix of cosmetics (some planned) and currency. It’s already a $70 title, and I don’t think paying an extra $30 is really worth it.

Gears of War E-Day Release Date

Gears of War: E-Day is coming to PC via Steam and Xbox App, and Xbox Series S|X on October 6, 2026. If you buy the Premium Edition, however, you’ll be able to play on October 1, 2026.

Gears of War: E-Day is skipping PS5 and, according to Microsoft, will remain an Xbox exclusive. It’s still coming to PC via Steam, but if you were hoping to play more Gears on your PS5, you’re out of luck with this entry, at least. Several other upcoming Xbox Game Studios titles are still headed to PS5, but Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution are the exceptions.
