Here’s a quick guide showing you where to get Alien Points early in Roadside Research.

How to Get Alien Research Points in Roadside Research

To get Alien Research Points, you must pick up the trash and put it inside the little yellow box that looks like a recycler in the Alien room. At the start, you’ll have to manually pick up the human trash one by one and place them inside the recycler. Once the trash is inside, press the button, and it should analyze the trash and give you Alien Research Points. So don’t just throw that human trash in the dumpster, research them and get more of those cool Alien upgrades.

When you start unlocking things like the trash can, you can place one in your shop, and customers will naturally throw their trash here. It fills up, but you can always empty it by right-clicking the trash can, selecting the trash bag, and placing it in the recycler.

Just remember that other objects, like the storage containers from your orders or the fuel tanks, cannot be analyzed for Alien Points. If you place them inside, they might get stuck, so focus on the human trash. When you have the trash can, you can just focus on throwing that one out for the most part.

If the trash can fills up, customers still litter, but mostly around it, so cleanup is still easy.
