In Roadside Research, the most annoying thing is seeing customers dissatisfied with the cleanliness of your gas station. You clean out the trash, but they still feel the shop is dirty, and it is most likely the floors.

Here’s how to clean the floor to keep your gas station clean in Roadside Research, including all other things you should take note of for cleanliness.

How to Keep Your Gas Station Clean in Roadside Research

To keep your shop clean, you need to pay attention to these things:

  • Mess that looks like skid marks on the floor.
  • Random trash like cans, paper, and plastic bottles.
  • Your own little oopsie (goop).
  • Toxic-like cloud, mostly from the toilets and the gas pumps.

You’ll clean all these using the shoe-like sponge/cleaner in the bathroom, except for the trash. Go to the bathroom and interact with the shoe sponge. Go to the mess, hold the left mouse button, and drag it across the mess with your cursor until it is fully clean. The same goes for the stench, which is a bit weird. Wipe the toilets or the floor under the cars near the gas pump to clean the stench.

Cleaning everything above should keep your gas station neat at all times. There are also some things you should pay attention to as well.

When picking up trash, you should throw it in the recycling box instead of the dumpster. You’ll get some Alien Points this way to get you some Alien research. Eventually, you’ll unlock other research, like the Trash Bags, to help you pick up more trash at the same time.

After a while, you’ll get the Trash Bins where customers can throw their trash “occasionally” in the bin. The next upgrade is self-cleaning trash bins, which let you focus entirely on managing the gas station and other tasks. Just prioritize cleaning your goop, as it can raise suspicion when customers see it on the floor.
