What is Van Dyne’s Grand Opening Event in Marvel Rivals?
Van Dyne’s Grand Opening event is essentially a small, gacha-style event that features an array of Psylocke-themed cosmetics. While it’s active, you can spend Units to redeem prizes, with the ultimate goal being pulling Psylocke’s Legendary Daring Daifuku Outfit as soon as possible.
Where to Find Van Dyne’s Grand Opening Event in Marvel Rivals
You can find Van Dyne’s Grand Opening event on the Anniversary page under the Events tab. It can be accessed by clicking on the three colorful balloons between Jeff’s Break Time event and Galacta. The event name will pop up as soon as you hover over it.
It blends in much better than the other options you can click on here, so it’s a bit easy to overlook at first. Van Dyne’s Grand Opening event cannot be accessed through the regular shop, though, so you must visit the Anniversary page to locate it.
Marvel Rivals Van Dyne’s Grand Opening Event Explained
In Van Dyne’s Grand Opening event, you’re presented with six mystery balloons. You can then spend Units to pop one, with the price going up a bit each time, so that the first pull is only 100 Units, but the maximum cost you may spend is 2,400 Units.
- The first pull is 100 Units.
- The second pull is 200 Units.
- The third pull is 300 Units.
- The fourth pull is 400 Units.
- The fifth pull is 600 Units.
- The sixth pull is 800 Units.
Your goal is to pull the Daring Daifuku Legendary Skin for Psylocke as soon as possible. Whenever you pull this item, the event immediately ends, granting you all other available rewards at no additional cost. This means you could, in theory, pull the outfit first try and spend only 100 Units to claim all available prizes. All balloons are completely randomized for every player, though, so there’s no way to know how many tries it will take you.
Luck plays a massive role in this event, as how many Units are needed to complete it will vary for every player depending on how lucky or unlucky they are. This event is the first of its kind in Marvel Rivals, so it takes a bit of getting used to, but ultimately seems fairly beneficial for all players, as Legendary Skin bundles usually cost around 2,400 Units from the shop anyway, but here, you have a shot of getting it for way less.
