In Digimon Story: Time Stranger, Agent Skills play a crucial role in helping you get stronger. It may not appear that way, as most of the skills require a lot of micromanaging.
However, if you utilize the proper Agent Skills with a good strategy, you’ll get strong enough to breeze through the story. Here are some of the best Agent Skills in DSTS.
Offensive Stat Boosts Based on Personalities

You might have noticed those 100 Anomaly Point Agent Skills in the Valor, Philanthropy, Amicability, and Wisdom Bonds. These are tied to specific Digimon with a personality, and they gain a massive 25% boost to those stats. When you start reaching thousands in stats, especially when you are above Champion tier, the 25% is substantial. You just need the correct Agent Skills and play around them. Here are some of the good offensive-based nodes:
- Daring Perfection (Valor) – Boost ATK/INT of Daring Digimon by 25%.
- Tolerant Perfection (Philanthropy) – Boost INT/HP of Tolerant Digimon by 25%.
- Sociable Perfection (Amicability) – Boost ATK/SPI of Sociable Digimon by 25%.
- Astute Perfection (Wisdom) – Boost INT/SPI of Wisdom Digimon by 25%.
Focusing on offensive stats like ATK and INT with any combination of defensive stats is the best-case scenario. Just make sure to build a Digimon around the specific personality you are buffing, and also look into their main type of damage (ATK – physical or INT – magic).
Bond of Strength

Bond of Strength gives an overall boost in power, especially when you use your Cross Arts frequently in this game. As long as you are using a Cross Art that does damage, this node should provide a ton of value. Remember all those bosses using charge attacks? This node could help break those charged attacks quicker.
Education Nodes

There are five education nodes to the left of the Bonds of Loyalty Agent Skill tree. These education nodes boost the EXP gain of your Digimon during battle, regardless of personality. Each education node is based on its evolutionary stage: In-Training, Rookie, Champion, Ultimate, Armor, Mega+, Hybrid.
These Education nodes boost the EXP gain for Digimon by 3% for each Agent Rank, which means it could go all the way to 30%. Getting every node here is still worth it, regardless of whether you have fewer Digimon below Champion.
Cross Art: High Field

Cross Art: High Field is one of the hardest nodes to get in Bonds of Loyalty. It even costs 100 Anomaly Points when you finally reach it. However, its power is just as good, as it gives a lot of buffs, but more importantly, shields your team for one turn.
Strategic CP Application

While most Agent Skills have specific requirements to be useful, the Strategic CP Application just helps you gain more CP throughout the story, especially when using it constantly throughout multiple battles.
Digivolution Nodes

Digivolution nodes help players Digivolve a lot of Digimon without the need to micromanage them in the DigiFarm. All Digivolutions need specific stat requirements. Some of them can easily be achieved through leveling, but some require a little more care.
If you get Digivolution nodes from the Agent Skill tree, it’ll be way easier to freely Digivolve your roster and keep grinding levels. The only downside is that you need to get all Digivolution nodes for each core personality, which adds up to 160 Anomaly Points.
There are other notable Agent Skills, but most of them are only useful when you capitalize on personality traits. Eventually, you’ll have enough Anomaly Points to get everything on the list, including most of the other nodes anyway. Just don’t skip those sidequests that reward Anomaly Points!
