Terminull Brigade Demo Preview – The Most Colorful Roguelike Out There

Terminull Brigade is an upcoming looter shooter roguelike RPG releasing on July 30, 2025. The game shows plenty of promise, combining several popular features from other genres into one.
People who play it may compare it to games like Risk of Rain 2, Borderlands, The First Descendant, or even Overwatch, and it would all be somewhat similar.
I tried out the final beta before release, and here’s how it went.
Terminull Brigade Boasts Amazing Depth and Character Designs
Firstly, Terminull Brigade is easy to learn, but hard to master. You can finish the tutorial in less than 10 minutes, but you’ll get bombarded with mechanics from your skills and upgrades on your first playthrough. Things get hectic really fast, but the beautiful thing about this genre is that you learn through victories and defeats, and it is all about that gameplay loop.
Terminull Brigade offers an addictive loop of progression, playing through stages, buying upgrades, combining weapon sets, and leveling your character overall.
The first playthrough feels quite refreshing, if you look past its lackluster UI. You get to learn a bunch of amazing characters with unique skill sets and figure out a way to make them stronger during the playthrough.
You’ll start getting upgrades that play around specific skills or auto-attacks, making it easy to find combinations. For example, you can find some upgrades that play around the “E” skill, and for a controller character like Aurora, you can compound that ability to do more crowd-control and damage at the same time.
After running a fun playthrough with Aurora building around her “E” skill, you’ll start to wonder if you can replay these exact upgrades on someone else, like Colonel or Blade.
You’ll keep wanting to play more and more, but you’ll also want to focus on one or two so you can progress faster and level up those massive skill trees.
After running a few playthroughs on the beta, it is more comparable to Risk of Rain 2 than anything else. The character designs seem familiar to games like Overwatch or Marvel Rivals, but the gameplay is definitely more roguelike than RPG looter shooter.
The game has a lot of potential, especially since it is built around co-op or multiplayer.
