Metal Gear Solid was also given its due share with the announcement of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2, which finally frees Metal Gear Solid 4 from its PS3-shaped shackles.

You need around 30.4 GB of free space to install everything in the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2. You can still choose to install individual titles, which have the following installation sizes:

Title / ContentSize
METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Guns of the Patriots – Master Collection Version25.9 GB
METAL GEAR SOLID: Peace Walker – Master Collection Version4.2 GB
Bonus Content0.3 GB

The titles in this collection are very old at this point, and if I had to assume, the GTX 970 is required for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Since PC users don’t have to rely on emulation anymore, the GTX 970 should be more capable of handling a PS3 title. Everything else is pretty standard, though an SSD is recommended across the board.

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 Release Date

Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 launches on PC, Xbox Series S|X, PS5, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 on August 27, 2026.

It’s great to see that more people will finally get to play Metal Gear Solid 4, which has been stuck on the PS3 since its original release. Peace Walker has been available on consoles, but thankfully, PC players can enjoy it now as well.
