Pics of the NES Classic Edition Next to Everyday Items

These pictures put Nintendo’s new NES console in perspective. So tiny!
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Nintendo’s new NES Classic Edition system comes with 30 pre-installed video games from the 80s and 90s, with a list of smash hits such as Super Mario Bros., Punch-Out!! and The Legend of Zelda. The console looks exactly like its old school counterpart, right down to the authentic NES controller with those familiar A and B buttons. The most shocking thing about this NES, however, is its size. In fact, it’s the first thing people mention when we take the NES Classic Edition out of the box. While cliché, it literally fits in the palm of your hand.

With this in mind, and to give you a better sense of scale, we put the NES Classic Edition next to some popular items you might use and perhaps devour each day. It is, in our opinion, adorable.

NES and a Starbucks Venti

We ordered an iced vanilla latte, if you must know.

NES and Chobani Greek Yogurt

Coincidentally, the NES is also very low in fat. Do not eat.

NES and a PS4

And to think, the PS4 is smaller than an Xbox One!

NES and Diet Coke

Both of these products contain zero calories. What a time to be alive! Again, do not eat your NES.

NES and Super Smash Bros.

This merely proves that you can enjoy the best of both worlds. You deserve this.

NES and a Camera

Wait a second. If the camera is on that table, how did we take this picture?

Nintendo will release the NES Classic Edition on November 11 for $59.99. There’s a controller inside of the box, and you can buy another for $9.99 so you can play two-player games with friends, like Tecmo Bowl and Double Dragon II: The Revenge. We’ll have more coverage, but for now, check out this article on where to buy the NES Classic Edition when it becomes available, along with this cool unboxing video. We don’t know how many Nintendo plans to make this year, so if you want one, we strongly suggest acting fast.
