CAPCOM has announced a second Open Beta for Monster Hunter Wilds before its release next month. Dubbed “Open Beta 2”, players will have another chance to try out the game, create a character, and face off against new and returning monsters from the franchise. In addition, there are bonus items to be claimed for participating in the Open Beta 2. Here is everything you need to know about the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2.

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 Participation Bonus Items

Players who take part in the Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 will receive the following bonus items for the full release in February 2024:

  • Pendant: Stuffed Felyne Teddy
  • OBT 2 Bonus Item Pack:
    • Raw Meat x10, Shock Trap x3, Pitfall Trap x3
    • Tranq Bomb x10, Large Barrel Bomb x3, Armor Sphere x5,
    • Flash Pod x10, Large Dung Pod x10

The first item is a cute pendant that can be equipped on your weapon or Sekiret. The other pack includes many useful items including traps, bombs, and pods to make the early hours much easier.

Make sure that you play the Beta on the same account you intend to buy the full release on.

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 Schedule

The second Open Beta for Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on the following dates in the form of two sessions:

  • February 6 2025 7:00 pm (PT) – February 9 2025 6:59 pm (PT)
  • February 13 2025 7:00 pm (PT) – February 15 2025 6:59 pm (PT)

During this time, players will be able to download and enjoy the Open Beta on their preferred platforms.

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta 2 Platforms

The Open Beta 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on PC via Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series S|X.

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test 2 Content

In addition to the content already available in the first Open Beta Test, players will also face off against a returning monster from the series Gypceros.

There is even more content planned for this Open Beta, which will be revealed at a later date.

Here are a few major technical details for the Open Beta 2:

  • The OBT requires a minimum of 29 GB of free space for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC
  • The OBT can be played on PlayStation®5 Pro, but PS5®Pro Enhanced features are not supported
  • Must have access to a broadband internet connection
  • If you are using a PC with an AMD GPU (Radeon series), please be sure to install the latest driver
  • Players don’t need a PS Plus or Game Pass Core/Ultimate subscription to play the OBT
