The Feybreak update in Palworld adds a massive new island containing more Pals, gear, enemies, and resources like Nightstar Sand to collect. Here is how to get Dark Fragments in Palworld and what it can be used for.
How to Find Dark Fragments in Palworld
Palworld players can get Dark Fragments by defeating specific Dark-type Pals or randomly collecting it on Feybreak Island. Either way, players will need to travel to the new Feybreak Island to get the resource.
There are five Dark-type Pals exclusive to Feybreak Island that will drop the Dark Fragments upon defeat. It is important to note that these Pals must be killed for the resource to drop, as catching will keep them alive and sent to your Pal Box. The five Dark-type Pals are:
- Dazzi Noct
- Kitsun Noct
- Omascul
- Splatterina
- Starryon
Players can also pick up Dark Fragments by roaming around the environment of Feybreak Island and grabbing the little pouches that litter the landscape. This is a more effective method for players exploring the island than tracking down the five specific Pals. Although, there is a boss Starryon that will respawn on the northeastern section of Feybreak Island.
How to Use Dark Fragments in Palworld
Dark Fragments can be used to build various Pal saddles and a few pieces of gear. All the items are in the last few player levels, thought the Pal items will not show up on your Technology menu until caught for the first time. Dark Fragments can be used for the following:
- Dazzi Noct’s Necklace – Level 52
- Nyafia’s Shotgun – Level 53
- Double Air Dash Boots – Level 54
- Smokie’s Harness – Level 56
- Homing Module – Level 57
- Starryon Saddle – Level 57
- Triple Jump Boots – Level 58
- Xenolord Saddle – Level 60
