Pokemon TCG Pocket is a celebration of the trading card collecting aspect of the franchise, and while the game features battles as well, most players will be spending their time finding the rarest cards and showing off their collection on beautiful boards and adorning them with shiny flairs. Mew is the final piece of the Kanto region puzzle, and you can’t get it from a random card pack. Here is how you can unlock Mew in Pokemon TCG Pocket.
Unlocking Mew in Pokemon TCG Pocket
To unlock Mew in Pokemon TCG Pocket, players need to collect all 150 Pokemon of the Kanto region and complete the secret mission in the themed collections missions called “Complete the Kando Pokédex”.
Acquiring all 150 Pokemon will complete this mission, and you’ll have to tap on it to claim the Mew card, which also has its unique animation.
Now, there are several ways to go about this, because this is going to be a bit of a grind, as collecting all 150 unique cards will take a while. To ease the process of obtaining Mew in Pokemon TCG Pocket, here are our recommendations:
- Earn Pack Points and use those to craft Pokemon missing from your Pokedex. Remember that you don’t need the rarer variant of the same Pokemon to complete your collection—both of those count.
- Make sure you unlock your two daily free packs and use the Pack Hourglass item to reduce the stamina timer obtained from completing various missions throughout the day.
- Complete daily missions, and make sure to claim rewards from them. These can be extremely helpful to get an earlier edge in progress.
- Regularly visit the Wonder Pick section, and keep an eye out for cards that are missing from your collection.
- Head over to the Battles section, and earn Hourglasses by completing all the solo challenges
- If you’re fine with splurging a bit, you can also purchase the Premium Pass which increases the daily free pack limit to three.
Track Completion Progress
To keep an eye on your collection, simply enter the “My Cards” section of Pokemon TCG Pocket, and see all the missing slots until the 150th slot. The first 150 card slots represent the Kanto region cards, and you can tap on any given slot to see which Pokemon card is supposed to occupy the space. For example, the first slot is reserved for Bulbasaur.
