How to Get Lith Runes in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred

If only Tyrael's Might could just drop instead.

The legendary Lith rune is one of the most sought-after runes in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred’s Season of Hatred. It isn’t used as a Rune of Invocation like other runes, but rather, it is used to craft one of the strongest Mythic unique items in the game. Lith runes are so valuable you’ll trade a fortune just to get one. This is mainly because nobody farms them as frequently as other content. Here’s how to get Lith runes in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred.

Where to Farm Lith Runes in Diablo 4 Vessel of Hatred

The Lith rune is a Legendary Rune of Ritual found all over Sanctuary. You can get one or two through sheer luck when finishing Nightmare Dungeons, but it isn’t reliable because legendary rarity runes won’t drop often. If you farm tormented bosses, you’ll get one rune, with a higher chance of it being a legendary rune, especially when fighting Duriel or Andariel. However, these require boss summoning materials and it isn’t as reliable as other methods.

If you have boss summoning materials, you want to join and run rota farming groups so you can get more runs out of your boss summoning materials.

The best way to get Runes is through the Undercity and using Tributes of Harmony as an offering to get more Runes. Tribute of Harmony has the following buff to your Undercity runs:

  • Completing the dungeon with at least Attunement Rank 1 will reward guaranteed Runes.

Each Tribute of Harmony Undercity run will give you three or more runes, depending on the final attunement rank you reach at the end of the run. Aim for rank three or four, preferably four, for maximum efficiency.

However, you’ll need to use one Tribute for every Undercity run, which makes it a bit costly. You maximize your Tribute farm since they drop from almost any content in the game and keep the Tribute of Harmony ones for one big rune farming session.

Lith runes are mainly used for crafting the Mythic unique, Tyrael’s Might. However, you need a whopping six Lith runes, along with six Feo and six Tec runes. The other runes are easier to get compared to Lith runes, but you might still get unlucky finding them.

Almost all builds can implement Tyrael’s Might to their build, which is why Lith runes are so wanted. Apart from it being popular, it also strengthens any build’s defenses significantly compared to any other gear pieces in the game.

Lith runes are a sought-after commodity in the Diablo 4 trading community, and they can even be sold for 300 million gold each. That would bring the total cost of crafting a Tyrael’s Might to go past a billion gold. You can even use the farming method above and sell them for gold if you need currency.
