How to Transit as a Group in Escape from Tarkov

Escape from Tarkov’s Marathon game mode redefines the concept of raids in the game. You can hop from one map to another, but you need to go through different maps to get to the actual map you need to go through. Finishing tasks and finding items becomes a whole lot harder, but you can do these things as a group to make it more achievable. Playing as a group helps you lower the risk of dying and here’s how you can transit as a group in Escape from Tarkov.

How Do You Transit As a Group in Escape from Tarkov?

To transit as a group, you need to follow all the normal mechanics of using the transit location as a solo player. These rules or mechanics are:

• You must stay at least seven minutes in the raid. (You can check the timer on the Transit extraction point by double-tapping “o”).
• Use the fixed transit location you want to travel to, e.g., Streets of Tarkov to Interchange or Streets of Tarkov to Labs.

The only added rules for group play are the following:

• All Players must interact with the transit location and finish the item dump page to confirm their transit.
• The transit timer will not start unless everyone has finished the item transit page section (if you are not sending any items to your stash, you can just press esc immediately after the item page shows up).
• All players must be within the transit location point when the countdown goes to 0.0 seconds. This works similarly with vehicle extractions.

What Happens if a Group Member Dies in a Marathon Raid?

Now, if the group is running a long marathon, there might be some casualties. For example, if your group plans on going to Reserve, you have to transit through multiple maps. If someone dies, your group can still transit to the next map. However, the causality will be already sent to the main menu screen, leaving him behind until the marathon raid ends.

There are two ways to go about it. You can either extract as a group instead of using another transit so you can get your friend back and restart it again or continue going and make your friend do a raid or Scav in the meantime. Marathon raids are perilous, so if you are already quite far from finishing the task, most groups would want to power through.
