Chain Lightning Build Skills and Enchantments

  • Ice Blades
  • Teleport
  • Ice Armor

Chain Lightning Build Aspects and Uniques

MovementBounding Conduit
ResourceRecharging Aspect
ResourceProdigy’s Aspect

You can add a few Aspects, like Mage-Lord’s or Shredding Blades, if you haven’t found a Harlequin Crest. Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loop or Ring of Starless Skies can also replace the Recharging Aspect on one of your rings if you ever find them. Tyrael’s Might is an overall defensive boost and should replace the Disobedience Aspect if you find one.

There’s also a new unique item in season 5 called Axial Conduit. It drains a lot of mana, but you’ll get a great damage boost to your Chain Lightning attacks. You want to keep the Recharging Aspect, but you’ll lose some damage here since the Ring of Starless Skies also provides a damage boost. If you get the best gear possible, you should have enough Lucky Hit: Chance to Restore Mana and Maximum Mana stats to eventually get rid of the Recharging Aspect.

Chain Lightning Build Glyphs and Stat Priorities

You want to use the following Glyphs on your Paragon Board:

  • Destruction (Static Surge)
  • Flamefeeder (Searing Heat)
  • Exploit (Starting Board)
  • Elementalist (Enchantment Master)
  • Reinforced (Elemental Summoner)
  • Tactician (Burning Instinct)
  • Unleash (Frigid Fate)

You aren’t really going for that many Legendary Paragon nodes. You only want Frigid Fate and Static Surge. The Charged Glyph can replace the Reinforced Glyph for added damage. However, Reinforced Glyph gives you more survivability. It is up to you to decide which one. If you have Tyrael’s Might equipped, you can go for the Charged Glyph.

Stat Priorities:

  1. CDR
  2. Armor Cap
  3. Resistance Cap
  4. Critical Strike Chance
  5. Attack Speed
  6. Intelligence
  7. Vulnerable Damage

You also want Max Life on all your gear, and you want Lucky Hit Mana Restore stats and Maximum Mana to keep up with the resource drainage of the build.
