Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is a fantastic action title from FromSoftware that revived the series the studio was largely known for before Demon’s Souls. The latest entry has tons of customization, challenges, and incredible bosses that raised the bar for what a high-quality mecha game can be. Now, FromSoftware has confirmed that Armored Core 6 has sold over 3 million copies since its launch back in 2023.

Armored Core 6 Sales Reach 3 Million Copies

FromSoftware confirmed on Twitter that their latest title in the Armored Core series has sold over 3 million units worldwide.

This makes it the best-selling game in the entire series by a wide margin. Armored Core has always been a fairly niche series, but it sold well enough to keep the series going with over 10 different entries before Armored Core 6. We hope that FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment see this as a success, which it really is, and continue to develop more titles in the franchise.

It’s clear that a lot of sales come from players who wanted to try out the franchise for the first time, especially after the success of the Dark Souls series and Elden Ring. This is also one of the best PC ports FromSoftware has ever released, and it finally broke their framerate lock curse with support for 120 FPS.

We hope that they have some expansion in development, or at least a sequel, especially after these numbers. In a recent interview with IGN Japan Hidetaka Miyazaki considers Armored Core 6 a success, and expressed his desire to continue the series, which more or less confirms that we’ll see another entry in the future.
