Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Backhand Blade

The Backhand Blade can be found next to a stone coffin in Gravesite Plain near the Scorched Ruins.

It’s pretty close to the first site of grace and takes less than a minute to reach. There are a few enemies to fight there, but they’re weak, and don’t pose that much of a challenge.

Backhand Blade Stas

The Backhand Blade is a curved sword that uses the Blind Spot skill. Here are the complete stats:

AttributeInitial Scaling
StrD
DexD
Starting Attribute Scaling when first obtained
AttributeMinimum Required
Str10
Dex13
Required Attributes to equip the Backhand Blade

This is an excellent weapon for players who prefer Dex weapons. The Blind Spot skill is a lot of fun to play around with, and this weapon is practically broken in PvP.

It’s also viable in PvE as the skill offers i-frames during the dodge animation, which you can then follow up with combos because the individual attacks don’t costume a lot of stamina. It also gets an S scaling when you fully upgrade it. With the right build, it can absolutely crush bosses as well, but you’ll have to rely on its skill quite a bit.

If dex weapons aren’t your thing, maybe take a look at the Greatsword of Solitude or the Pata. For more on Shadow of the Erdtree, make sure to follow our dedicated section.
