On the Vita front, a new console called Vita TV was unveiled. This $100 system will allow players to enjoy all downloadable games for PS One and PlayStation Portable, as well as select Vita games, through a small OUYA-like device. Users will need to supply their own Dual Shock 3 controller, however. It’s due for release in October in Japan, but there’s no word on a U.S. debut.

A new Vita model was also revealed during the show, dubbed the PS Vita 2000. This model is 20 percent thinner and 15 percent lighter, and also comes in six colors, including pink and yellow. A 64 GB memory card will also be released for an undisclosed price. No word yet if it’ll come to the U.S., but it’s due for release next month in Japan.

As for new games, Keiji Infaune announced a new version of Soul Sacrifice for the Vita, and also confirmed that Soul Sacrifice 2 is in the works. Sega revealed Yakuza Restoration for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, a brand new entry for the gangster action series that will be showcased at TGS. Suda 51, the creator of Killer Is Dead and Lollipop Chainsaw, has a PS4 game in the works, with more details to come later.

Finally, the PlayStation 4 received a Japanese release date, coming to that market February 22nd, 2014. A “First Limited Pack” will be available to select buyers, which will come with a digital copy of the platforming game Knack, as well as a one-year warranty.
