Where To Find A Goreminotaur in Dragon’s Dogma 2

If you’re hoping to track down a Goreminotaur, you’ll need to wait until you’ve reached the countryside of Bakbattahl before you can face off against one of these wretched beasts. You’ll find a guaranteed Goreminotaur spawn within the caves of Sandspire Cave, located on the map above. At the bottom of the basin, you’ll find a small entrance next to a campfire — be sure to use it because you’ll need it. And be sure to stock up on plenty of restoratives before jumping into this battle.

Deep within the cave, you’ll encounter a fair number of Rattlers, Saurian creatures coated in a skin of thick rocks. Don’t make the same mistake that I did and ignore them in pursuit of the Goreminotaur, as they can make the upcoming fight much more difficult than it should be. Be sure to either bring a Fighter with a mace or be prepared to dodge and attack their soft underbelly to bring them to an end quickly.

When you enter the cave where the Goreminotaur is hiding, you’ll want to ensure that you’ve got your Lantern on. The Goreminotaur is covered in near-pitch black skin and a mop of fur that makes it difficult to spot. You’ll almost immediately notice the beast’s horrifying bright-red eyes peering at you in the darkness, and a health bar will spring onto the screen.

The Goreminotaur fight will progress just as any other fight with the beast would — target its horns, and you should be more than fine delivering plenty of damage to this mythical beast. You’ll want to watch out for its attacks, however, as it’s much more powerful than its normal version. Even with end-game armor and equipment on a New Game + save, its attacks were still devastating to my health bar.

After defeating the Goreminotaur, you’ll receive various powerful items and possibly even some gear. After beating this one, for example, I received a Warrior helmet alongside some additional items that could be used for crafting. They’re worth tracking down, especially if you’re looking to get some free gear.
