Video Games Live has been touring for quite a few years now, presenting the best in video game music with a full orchestra and the guidance of producer and composer Tommy Tallarico. This week, the team will have a free show at San Diego Comic-Con, which is likely to fill up quickly. If you can’t get in or just can’t make it in general, don’t worry, you’ll still be able to see it.
Twitch.tv will team up with the touring group to stream the concert live this Saturday night, starting at 8 PM Pacific time. The 20-song concert will include selections from such games as Chrono Trigger, Skyrim, Journey and Street Fighter II, as well as debut tracks from the forthcoming Destiny and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
A pre-show for the event will kick off at 6 PM PDT, featuring interviews with a number of composers, including Journey’s Austin Wintory and Dota 2’s Tim Larkin.
“Out of the hundreds of shows we’ve done around the world for the past ten years, this one is turning out to be one of our biggest ever thanks to the Amazon Video Games Store and the worldwide reach that Twitch brings,” said Video game composer and Video Games Live creator/producer Tommy Tallarico. “Knowing this, we are pulling out all the stops to ensure the best show for the millions of people who will be watching.”
The concert will be available for streaming at the Twitch.tv website. Be sure to catch it. It’s an amazing show.
