Microsoft Introduces TV On Xbox For the Xbox One

A new social television service will let Xbox Live subscribers interact with one another.

During the Xbox One presentation today, Microsoft revealed yet another service for its upcoming console.  Titled “TV On Xbox”, the service will allow people to interact with one another with TV shows, though the company didn’t quite break down how just yet (we’re guessing social windows and discussion rooms via Skype).

But one service that will get a HUGE focus through “TV On Xbox” is Halo.  During the presentation, 343 Industries’ Bonnie Ross explained that a new Halo live-action series was in the works that will involve Steven Spielberg and 343 in production.  No word yet on when it will premiere, but it’s probably not too far off.

Microsoft is also partnering with Roger Goodell and the National Football League to produce exclusive services for the Xbox One, including SmartGlass and Kinect support,  Fantasy Football interactions and more.
