Dragon Quest X Gets Official Release Date In Japan

No word yet on a U.S. release, but Japanese gamers and importers can get their dragon groove on next month.

The Wii U may be losing a bit of traction here (for the moment), but it’s still coasting along just fine in Japan, and Square Enix just made a strong assurance that its popularity is about to pick up.

The company has confirmed a release date for its upcoming role-playing adventure Dragon Quest X – the latest in the long-running series.  Featuring a spectacular MMORPG set-up and a variety of thrilling new creatures to tear apart, the game will hit store shelves on March 30th.

If you don’t own a Wii U yet in Japan, Square is also offering a keen little bundle where you can get a premium Wii U system, a pre-paid Nintendo card worth 1,000 yen, a copy of the game, five super health orbs, a black pro controller and early access to the beta, which will be running shortly.

No word yet on a U.S. release, but an announcement is likely coming around E3 time.  Stay tuned.
