Pokemon Indigo Disk: Where to Find Kleavor in Scarlet & Violet

Where can you find this ancient Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet?

Kleavor was one of the most unique new creatures added in Pokemon Legends Arceus, and it looks like they’re now available to find in the wild in the newest Pokemon DLC, the Indigo Disk. So let’s set out and discover where Kleavor is hiding in the Blueberry Academy’s Terarium.

Where to Find Kleavor in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Indigo Disk

If you’re hoping to add Kleavor to your collection without using Pokemon Home, you’ll need to break off the beaten path and check out the Canyon Biome. While you may have selected it at the start of the game, it’ll be a while before the story takes you in that general direction, so head off on your own adventure if you need this Pokemon on your team.

To find the Canyon Biome, you’ll want to head toward the Southeastern part of the map.

As you can see from the screenshot above, you’ll find Kleavor hanging out in the Mountains within the Canyon biome. Hop on your ridable Legendary Pokemon and climb the side of the mountain shown above until you reach the top, where you should see this ancient Hisuian Pokemon roaming around. Approach Kleavor and get ready for a battle with this rather powerful Pokemon.

As you can see, Kleavor is not necessarily huge in size, but they’re a very noticeable creature due to their distinct design, so you shouldn’t have an issue finding them. From my experience, there is only one that spawns in this location at a time, so make sure that you save before you battle against this Bug/Rock-type creature and try to capture it.

Can You Evolve Scyther Into Kleavor in Indigo Disk?

It appears that the item necessary to evolve Scyther into Kleavor is not available in the Indigo Disk, so while you can evolve Scyther into Scizor, its Hisuian Kleavor evolution is only obtainable by catching it in the wild.

In Pokemon Legends Arceus, trainers needed to find an item called Black Augurite if they wanted to evolve Scyther into Kleavor. You would then use the Black Augurite like you would any other evolutionary stone. But it appears Black Augurite is entirely absent from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, so this isn’t an option in The Indigo Disk.

Oddly, the location where you find Kleavor in Indigo Disk seems to contain large formations of black stone that look suspiciously similar to Black Augurite. But alas, the item itself is nowhere to be found.

Kleavor’s Stats in Indigo Disk

Kleavor is a rather strong Pokemon in both Legends Arceus and The Indigo Disk, and when choosing between it and Scizor, we’d go for Kleavor every time. Scizor has its own benefits as a more defensive Pokemon, but Kleavor is Scyther’s faster and stronger evolution, giving it a more deadly stat combination.

You can check out Kleavor’s full stat spread below:

  • HP: 70
  • Attack: 135
  • Defense: 95
  • Sp. Atk: 45
  • Sp. Def: 70
  • Speed: 85

Kleavor is a Bug/Rock type Pokemon, meaning it’s weak to Rock, Steel, and Water and resistant to Normal and Poison attacks.

When choosing a Nature for Kleavor, we’d recommend Adamant. An Adamant nature will lower Kleavor’s Special Attack and raise its Physical Attack, maximizing its damage output. A Jolly Nature is also a valid option to sacrifice Special Attack in favor of Speed and ensure your Kleavor is fast enough to get in the first attack. But Physical Attack is Kleavor’s best stat, so we’d opt to boost its damage for best results.

And that’s all we have for Kleavor in The Indigo Disk. Be sure to check out our Pokemon Scarlet and Violet section below if you’re hoping to find out where to capture and evolve more Pokemon, and see what you’ll need to do to evolve Milcery into Alcremie with ease.
