Pokemon Indigo Disk: How to Evolve Milcery into Alcremie (Scarlet & Violet)

Sugary sweet.

Gen 8’s adorable cream Pokemon, Milcery, has returned to the series in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s The Indigo Disk DLC. Here’s how to evolve Milcery into Alcremie in The Indigo Disk.

How to Evolve Milcery into Alcremie in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

To evolve Milcery into Alcremie, you need a sweet item. I personally used a Love Sweet, which I found on the ground. There are seven sweets in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, all of which affect which decoration your Alcremie will be adorned with:

  • Love Sweet.
  • Strawberry Sweet.
  • Berry Sweet.
  • Clover Sweet.
  • Star Sweet.
  • Ribbon Sweet.
  • Flower Sweet.

With a sweet item in hand, give it to your Milcery to hold and make sure they’re in your party. I put my Milcery in my first party slot just to be safe, and gave them the Love Sweet I picked up. Then, in the overworld, rotate your left joystick until your character spins around and gets dizzy.

There are nine different flavors of Alcremie that specify the Pokemon’s distinct color, determined by the direction you spin and the time of day:

  • Vanilla (beige): during daytime, spin clockwise.
  • Caramel Swirl (tan with white tips): during daytime, spin clockwise for more than 10 seconds.
  • Ruby Cream (pink): during daytime, spin counter-clockwise.
  • Ruby Swirl (beige with pink tips): during daytime, spin counter-clockwise for more than 10 seconds.
  • Matcha Cream (green): during nighttime, spin clockwise.
  • Lemon Cream (yellow with white tips): during nighttime, spin clockwise for more than 10 seconds.
  • Salted Cream (white): during nighttime, spin counter-clockwise.
  • Mint Cream (blue with white tips): during nighttime, spin counter-clockwise for more than 10 seconds.
  • Rainbow Swirl (multicolor): during dusk, spin in either direction for more than 30 seconds.

After releasing the joystick and your character stumbles a bit, this should trigger Milcery’s evolution into Alcremie.

How to Get a Sweet in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Indigo Disk

You can get Sweets in the Indigo Disk DLC by picking up Poke Balls around the Terrarium, or through the Item Printer (more on that below). The Poke Balls will contain random items, with many of the different Sweets being options. All seven Sweets are available in the Indigo Disk, and they all have a chance to pop up on the grounds of the Blueberry Academy’s four distinct biomes.

I found the Love Sweet that I used to evolve my Milcery into Alcremie next to the Savannah Plaza in the Savannah Biome on the Blueberry Academy map. You can see exactly where I picked it up in my screenshots below:

With all Sweets and flavor combinations taken into consideration, there are 63 forms of Alcremie, and all have made their way into Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. My Milcery evolved into the Vanilla Cream version of Alcremie with the Love Sweet.

The Best Way to Get Sweets in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Indigo Disk

The best way to obtain Sweets is through the Item Printer in the League Club Room, which you gain access to by donating 200 BP to the Science Club. Throw some unwanted materials into the Item Printer and it has a chance to materialize several random items, including the various Sweets for Milcery.

Further upgrades to the Item Printer will increase the amount of items you can potentially get, and unlock bonus rewards. Star Sweet and Ribbon Sweet are the rarest ones to get from the Item Printer, at gold rarity. Clover Sweet and Flower Sweet are silver rarity. Strawberry Sweet, Berry Sweet, and Love Sweet are all bronze rarity.

Tip:

Don’t expect to find Sweets through Alcremie Tera Raids. While it might make sense that an Alcremie would drop its own Sweet upon defeat, these evolutionary items don’t seem to be a reward in battles.

Where to Catch Milcery in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

You’ll find Milcery in the Polar Biome of Blueberry Academy’s Terrarium. They’re pretty common and all over the biome, so you shouldn’t have to go very far before stumbling into one. However, you will need The Indigo Disk DLC in order to catch Milcery in the wild. If you don’t have access to the Indigo Disk, you can try trading for one or transferring one through Pokemon HOME.

Note that you won’t be able to catch an Alcremie in the wild. In order to get Alcremie in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you will need to either evolve Milcery with a Sweet and a spin, trade for it, or transfer it from another game.

Now that you know how to evolve Milcery into Alcremie, learn whether Legendary Pokemon are Shiny-locked or not in Pokemon The Indigo Disk.
