Joe Biden Meeting With Game Makers Today For Gun Violence Solutions

Video games aren’t necessarily to blame, but Biden’s still looking for answers.

Following the tragic school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary last month, vice president Joe Biden is already working on a new initiative, one where he’s researching gun violence and trying to put together solutions for president Barack Obama by January 15th.  Yesterday, he met with the NRA and film industry representatives, and while a good discussion was had, the NRA felt it was an assault on their Second Amendment rights.  Sooo, yeah, they’re touchy.

The next step?  The video game industry.  Today, Biden is meeting with several games industry representatives, including Entertainment Software Association president Michael Gallagher, to further research whether it has an effect on certain players, as well as possible resolution to the matter.

Again, video games don’t seem to have a huge factor on violence in people’s behavior – despite what the NRA has to say – but Biden’s research could lead to some interesting answers next week.  We’ll have more details as they progress…
