Mort is the daughter of Death in Death Must Die, and is one of the Gods that offers her Blessings to you. One of Nixi’s character achievements involves winning an attempt while having Mort’s Serendipity Blessing, so here’s how to get it.
How to Get Serendipity Blessing from Mort in Death Must Die
The Serendipity Blessing does not always appear during your runs in Death Must Die, but there is a small trick on how to get it:
You need to have at least three luck-based blessings before you get an offer to pick Serendipity in the first place, otherwise, it will never appear for you. Luck-based blessings are blessings that have a random chance for something to happen. Let’s take a look at Flare, for example:
“Whenever an enemy starts attacking you, there is a chance you shoot out a firebolt against your attacker.”
Blessings that contain text that goes along the lines of “after X attacks, Y happens” are not considered to be luck-based blessings because what they do is static (precisely defined, if you will) and not randomly decided by the gods of randomness. An example I will use is “Breath of Fire”:
“Every few attack hits, you breathe fire that damages and burns enemies in front of you.”
And, of course, I must emphasize that you must have Mort as one of your supporting Gods during the run. Remember, you can only have three Gods supporting you during each run (fourth one appears later and is always Moirai), so save your God Reroll abilities if you do not get Mort straight away.
Serendipity increases your Luck stat, and I hope you’ll have many Luck-based skills (blessings) because you will need them for the final fight.
