How to Deal With Spore Lizards in Lethal Company

You're a lizard, Larry.

Spore Lizards are aliens you will sometimes encounter in Lethal Company. If you’re new to the game, you’re probably wondering if they are dangerous and how to deal with them, so here’s a quick guide.

What to Do When You See a Spore Lizard in Lethal Company

Spore Lizards are easy to recognize:

  • They are small and cute (if you are into alien pets).
  • They’ve got four legs.
  • They make screeching sounds.
  • They’ve got a really, really big mouth.

Dealing with Spore Lizards is probably the easiest thing you’ll do in Lethal Company. One key strategy is just to let them be. They will not try to approach you and do their best to get away from you if they see you. They might express certain emotions before backing off, but that’s not a reason for concern.

However, if you decide to play around and try to chase them “just to give them a pat” or “just to feed them,” you will probably receive the same response as you would from a wild animal in real life when you eventually manage to corner them somewhere in the hallways (since they’re not absurdly fast like some of the creatures out there).

You will get bitten for some minor damage, and be blinded by the spores it releases as a self-defense mechanism to give itself time to get away from you.

To summarize: Spore Lizard is not a threat to you if you don’t mess around with it. If you do mess with it, you will get blinded, which might “help” you run into a landmine, turret, or something more dangerous without seeing where you should run to save yourself.
