Whether you are a camo grinder or just want to rack up a ton of kills in one MW3 match, Shipment has always been a fan-favorite map for players who love chaos. The map has made a return this year and I can help you dive back into the action with this guide.
How to Play on Shipment in Modern Warfare 3
You can play on the Shipment map by joining the Rustment 24/7 playlist that was added to the main menu in MW3. This mode went live on November 30, and it mixes the classic cargo map with Rust in a recipe for chaos. Because it’s part of a playlist, you’ll have to queue into a game and hope you get the map you want, and if not quit and try again.
There is no timeline on the Rustment 24/7 playlist just yet, but I wouldn’t expect it to stay forever. There are a lot of small modes that Sledgehammer is rotating in and out to keep the playlists fresh. However, modes based on Shipment have managed to remain permanent in the past. Even Shipment 24/7 in MW2 eventually found a home.
Remember that this year’s Shipment map is the same one from Modern Warfare 2, and that makes it part of the MW2 rotation in a separate playlist eventually. It also means that you won’t be able to find the map in standard matchmaking or in private matches. I checked out the private match settings myself and it was missing.
So, if you are grinding the Interstellar challenges in MW3, I would jump into the Rustment 24/7 playlist as soon as you can. There’s no telling how long we have the mode, and it can certainly boost how fast you can complete each camo challenge.
If you don’t care for camos, try taking the Striker 9 into Shipment for some easy close-quarters eliminations.
