Vergil Coming To DMC: Devil May Cry Next Year As DLC

DMC DLC…that's confusing already. But still, we're stoked.

DMC: Devil May Cry is moving right along to its release early next year, and as an added incentive to get old-school fans of the series pumped for the new blood, Capcom has announced that it is adding an old favorite into the mix via downloadable content – Vergil’s back!

Vergil’s Downfall is the name of the new DLC pack, letting players control him as he takes on a number of enemies with his familiar Yamato sword, while also acquiring new tools and taking on all sorts of enemies across an original storyline.

The DLC, which will drop sometime in early 2013, will be offered on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network for $9.99 (800 Microsoft points), though those who pre-order the game through GameStop will get the content for free via a download code, along with a special Samurai Weapons Pack.  So get crackin’!

Watch the trailer and behold the return of Vergil!

DMC: Devil May Cry hits stores on January 15th for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
