Starfield: Olive Branch Quest Walkthrough

By now, you’ve likely heard about the war between the United Colonies and Freestar Collective, as most NPCs talk about it at some point. Well, you can mend the peace further when you complete Olive Branch in Starfield.

How to Start Olive Branch

You will start Olive Branch by bumping into Nilesh Sherazi in front of the MAST HQ in New Atlantis. I didn’t receive any rumors about him; I found him chilling in the park, sitting on a bench, and waiting for a passerby to stop and say ‘hello,’ so I did. He asked for help planting an olive seed, a symbol of peace between the UC and FC.

How to Complete Olive Branch in Starfield

To complete Olive Branch, which is seemingly straightforward, you must plant an olive seed in the Atrium in front of MAST. On the surface, it’s a simple job. But the local security doesn’t take kindly to vandalism, even the green kind.

After speaking with Nilesh and learning more about his history as a diplomat for every faction in the Settled Systems, he’ll ask you to help him plant an olive seed. He believes it symbolizes the peace between the United Colonies and the Freestar Collective. At least, it will be in five years when the tree actually grows.

He wants you to play the seed somewhere in the Atrium, with a few choice spots picked out. The problem is that the local security forces don’t like you tampering with the grass. It’s a crime. So, you have a choice. You can either hand over the olive seed, and the officer will dispose of it promptly, or you can speak with Nilesh to set up a distraction. He’ll call for the officer, claiming a crime of passion…I mean fashion.

Once the seed is either planted or disposed of, return to Nilesh. Your reward will depend on which path you take, of course.

Olive Branch Quest Rewards

Once you complete Olive Branch, you will receive the following quest rewards:

• 100 XP
• Credits (Leveled)
