Where to Find the Hall of the Penitent in Diablo 4

Time to repent

The Hall of the Penitent is one of the recurring lair locations that you need to visit for end-game bosses in Diablo 4. If you have any plans of taking on Grigoire, the Galvanic Saint, then you need to know where you can find the halls on the map.

Where is the Hall of the Penitent Located in Diablo 4

You can find the Hall of the Penitent in the Dindai Flats of the Dry Steppes. The Dindai Flats is in the center of the region and you can easily find it west of the Onyx Watchtower Stronghold. Like all the other end-game boss lairs, the hall will be marked by a gate with a horned skull. If you haven’t completed the lair yet, then an orange dot will sit at the bottom right of the symbol.

To reach the Hall of the Penitent, you need to search around Sanctuary on World Tier 3 or World Tier 4. You can enter the lair at any point, but that doesn’t mean you can fight the boss whenever you’d like. To take on Griogoire, the Galvanic Saint, you need to approach the Altar in the halls with some Living Steel.

How to Use and Reset the Hall of the Penitent in Diablo 4

When you enter the hall, you need to have five Living Steel in your inventory. You can then place the steel into the altar and summon Grigoire. Just keep in mind that you can’t get the steel back after it’s consumed in the ritual. Either the boss goes down or you need to leave and farm some more steel on another attempt.

If you manage to beat the boss, you can spend more Living Steel for another battle. However, leaving the dungeon doesn’t reset right away. I found that using the “Leave Dungeon” action and then logging out is the only reliable way for a reset.
