How to Find and Beat Mysterio in Spider-Man 2

Mysterio is one of the side-quest villains you can face in Spider-Man 2, but before you can face the illusionist, you need to complete a few steps. He has more than a few illusions for you to break as Miles.

How to Find Mysterio in Spider-Man 2

You need to complete every Mysterium challenge in Spider-Man 2 to find Mysterio on Coney Island. There are eight different Mysteriums around New York City, and they can only be achieved as Miles, so leave Peter behind. Each challenge has various medals you can earn, from bronze to gold. However, you only need to get a bronze medal to “complete” the challenge.

After a couple of Mysteriums are completed, Betsy will call and ask you to continue helping. Over time, she gives you updates about how Beck is doing. By the time you finish the eight Mysterium, Betsy tells you that Beck has gone off the rails. You need to head to Coney Island for the “Grand Finale” mission, where it all started.

How to Beat Mysterio in Spider-Man 2

To defeat Mysterio, you need to enter his Mysterium on Coney Island and complete two boss phases. The first brings you into a snow globe, and the second teleports you across an upside-down city to fight in another creepy graveyard. Both phases are fairly easy if you can attack multiple targets with no issues.

Phase 1

The first stage throws Miles into a massive snow globe where the green enemies return for one more fight. You need to eliminate every green goon while also dealing damage to Mysterio in the arena. There aren’t a lot of mechanics here, so you don’t need to worry about any new crushes or parries.

Just spam your gadgets out and group up as many of the green goons as you can. Save your finishers for larger enemies like Brutes or the heal if you need it. Shortly after all the enemies are down, You’ll need to chase the boss himself.

Phase 2

Swinging through an upside New York City is the first step in phase two. You need to chase Mysterio to the final arena, which only takes about one minute to reach. Just dodge the moving buildings, and you’re good to go.

In the final leg of the fight, Mysterio will levitate in front of a carousel and multiply himself. All you need to do is spam your abilities and take out his multiple forms in mid-air. Make sure to have some mid-air attack upgrades if you want to make the fight easier.
