Baldur’s Gate 3 Silver Sword of the Astral Plane Location – Act 1

During Baldur’s Gate 3’s first act, you can get the Silver Sword of the Astral Plane by traveling through the Mountain Pass at coordinates (X: -135, Y: 564), equipping one of your characters with the Command: Drop spell, and forcing Kith’rak Voss to drop his weapon.

However, approaching their group initiates a cutscene automatically, so you must sneak by until you are in the range of the group and successfully use the spell on Kith’rak Voss. A failed attempt also initiates the battle, causing Voss to disappear until Act Three. Make sure to create a save slot before you attempt this so you can reload until you succeed.

Tip:

Using invisibility potions will help you stay hidden from Kith’rak Voss and the other Githyanki, significantly increasing your chances of success. However, you’re not required to use them if none are available.

Where is the Mountain Pass?

The Mountain Pass is a region you’ll encounter on your way to Moonrise Towers. It is located northwest of the Emerald Grove and north of the Blighted Village. Your best bet is to travel to the Blighted Village, take the northern path through the mountains, and, instead of continuing north to Waukeen’s Rest, go west until you reach the pass.

How to Get the Command Spell in BG3

Command is a level-one Enchantment spell you can learn through scrolls and level-up skill unlocks. However, characters like Shadowheart have it available immediately, which you can equip in your Spellbook. If you don’t have Shadowheart in your party, you can buy the scroll from merchants or unlock it if your character is a Warlock, Bard, or Cleric.
