Payday 3: How to Turn off Power to the Gate in No Rest for the Wicked

Pull the lever Kronk!

If there’s one thing any Payday 3 player can tell you, it’s that trying to stealth a heist can be just as difficult if not more than going in guns blazing. While you don’t have the hectic, split-second decision-making of gunfights to worry about, you must have the patience and timing to play something in stealth. It’s good to start with the basics, which means the fundamentals behind the game’s first heist. Here’s how to turn off the power to the gate in the Payday 3 heist No Rest for the Wicked.

To turn off the power to the gate in Payday 3, you’ll need to make your way to an IT room located on the first floor. The easiest way to do this is to make it up to the roof through the back of the building, then head down the central stairwell of the building to the first floor. As you leave the door to the stairwell, you should immediately see the IT room on your right. Be mindful of both cameras and the patrolling guard here, as they’ll both be upset if they see you.

Additionally, it’s best to handle this section in Casing Mode (no mask) since civilians won’t care too much about you unless you’re in a select few areas.

Once in the IT room, you’re looking for a red wire leading to a security box on the wall. Flip the switch without anyone seeing you, and the power to the gate will be off. You may need to close the door or wait for the civilians to pass before flipping it. Patience is key.
